XYLO Brewery Tasting & Talk - Second Wednesday of XYLO Brewery Tasting & Talk - Second Wednesday of the month Next tasting: Wednesday 11th March at 8pm As we make our own beer we should really talk about it more! We’ve held numerous ad-hoc talks and tastings for groups at Xylo and other venues over the years that have been a lot of fun, so now we’re starting a monthly tasting & talk, right next to the brewing kit, on the second Wednesday of the month at 8pm. Ben will guide you through a selection of 8 beers and talk you through the history, styles, processes and ingredients that go into making them, with a couple of guest beers thrown in of styles we do not currently do so you get the full range. This is a relaxed casual guided tasting, no note books required, there will be no exam! Feel free to bring a takeaway and nestle in. The talk and tasting will last approximately 2 hours. We will require pre-booking to ensure we cover staffing costs. Please enquire at the bar or email bookings@xylobrew.com
New tanks require new coolant flow to keep the bee New tanks require new coolant flow to keep the beer tip top, and we are super happy with the way it's coming along. @mitch_goodyear has done a fantastic job so far and has put up with multiple delays and requests to change the layout as we only have one chance to get this right! We are getting close now and can't wait to fire up these bad boys! The taproom is back open after some quick patching up and we are running from keg until we have everything cleaned and tested, then it's all go in the brewery getting some tasty brews ready for you! Backgammon Social @ Xylo - Wednesday 4th February Backgammon Social @ Xylo - Wednesday 4th February @ 7pm (Monthly - First Wednesday of the month) Love a bit of backgammon. It’s a great social game that’s easy to learn, well paced and tactical, perfect whilst sipping a few wintery pints. So we’ve started a backgammon social, just on the back tables by the brewkit, monthly at first. Come on your own, with your friends, family, lovers or others, grab a drink and and have a game, both Gus and Ben will be on hand to teach you how to play if you’d like to learn and we’ll play a few games with you too. Feel free to bring your own board or use ours (we’ve started collecting them!), grab a takeaway to have in and make a night of it, the big question is, can you stack on the points?! First Wednesday of the month to start. Game on.
